To all those who pimp their blogs (Ashley, Jill, Shannon, Jess, Natalie, etc),
Knock it off!! All I ever hear from Whit is how my blog sucks and it needs to be more like her friends. I will post when I want and what i want...Thats it!
I have lived in St. George now for over 21 years. I have been mountain biking a lot in this area, but I have never biked Gooseberry Mesa...until today. Little did I know I was missing out on one of the world's best mountain bike trails. Matt, Robbie, and I spent nearly 5 hours riding as many trails we could find out there. It was extremely technical riding but was so worth the effort. I can't wait to get back there soon.. Oh yeah, we wrecked a lot too!
We have a family tradition that every Thanksgiving morning we hike up to the Indian caves here in Green Valley. It is always a fun hike, but this year it was a bit tiring. Hayes wanted to go but he didn't want to hike. So like a good dad, I carried him the whole way on my shoulders. Needless to say, my body was hurting the rest of the day.
Of course our boys couldn't be something simple for Halloween. This year Harper specifically stated that he wanted to be Master Chief from Halo. I think all the hype and marketing for the release of Halo 3 had something to do with it. Hayes is at the age that he wants to be whatever Harper wants to be so i had to fabricate two Master Chief suits. Each suit took me roughly 5 hours to make. They both really liked the suits and were the hit of the night.
I sure haven't posted very well to this thing. I am going to try and change that. Well this month has been pretty busy. Whit, the boys, and I spent 2 weeks in Kona, Hawaii. Man I love that place. We did all the typical hawaii-trip things...boogie boarded, snorkelled, swam, laid out, etc...One cool thing we did was watch the Ironman World Championships....that was sweet! I cannot believe thoas athletes. We woke up, watched them swim, went home and took a nap and came back 10 hours later to watch them finish. Crazy!
